Comments to Garden City by Mr. David Leroy

A note from Dr. John Livingston:

I would like to thank our legal team, concerned neighbor volunteers, and everyone who has been instrumental in supporting preserveplantation23.  We have said from the very beginning that our case will be a legal one.  We have never asked for the interests of neighbors and concerned River Club members to be pitted against the interests of The River Club itself.  We have not asked for any contributions to our legal fund to date that has been supported by 4 anonymous donors, but today we are opening an account that will be accessed through the blog or the e-mail.  The other side has mounted a PR and political campaign to date, and we understand the anxiety that some have expressed in not joining the fray.  As we submit this document to The Garden City fathers, we will be asking all concerned neighbors to participate and contribute to our cause by donating money, walking neighborhood streets, and going to Garden City P&Z and City Council meetings.  Talk to friends and neighbors—the more the merrier—we have almost 100 folks already.

Finally know that we will win some battles and lose some battles, but in the end, this is a legal fight, and we are in it for the long haul.  I am confident that in my informed “medical opinion” we will prevail in ‘preserving plantation23.”

Our legal counsel has performed magnificently and will continue to present our case moving forward.
