Preserve Plantation has received many complaints about the complex noticing of meeting and voting process with proxies that will take place on Aug 4th regarding our Master Declaration Contract (MDC). We believe that this is a “right of property” just like a water right or a mineral or oil “right of property” It has a value that can be calculated just as your property has value, and its value can be estimated.
We have asked for information from the HOA Board about how they have valued the property that is The Golf Course Open Space. We have also asked The Board if they have appraised the value of each individual homeowners ‘right of property” that is promised in the (MDC). We have finally asked to see the agreement between the HOA Board and Mr. Gustafson that transferred $500,000 into the HOA coffers. We would also like to see the statement confirming the transfer of $100,000 into an escrow account.
None of these requests have been honored.
Not having this critical information prior to giving someone a proxy or prior to voting is pretentious and disrespectful of the people whose rights are being abdicated with a positive vote. Vote NO or DON’T vote.
We have a simple request for the Board as we move toward a vote on this significant issue.
