Proposal for Plantation Memorial Park
We get so caught up in our local Plantation Politics that it becomes ever easier to forget what is so very important. We have many members in our community who have served or who have loved ones who served---several paid the ultimate sacrifice.
I never came under fire in my military career, but I had the honor of taking care of and serving beside many who did. Many are now gone. I miss them.
Memorial Day honors our fallen heroes and their families. Veterans Day honors all who have served.
I would like to propose that the “open space land” between Plantation Lane and the back fence to the salvage yard be made into a Memorial Park that will honor all in our neighborhood, our community State and Country who served. HOA dues could pay for the upkeep of the property and on the three great Holidays in summer we could meet together to honor our friends and families.
