Surveyors in the Neighborhood

Several neighbors have alerted us this evening that there are surveyors in the neighborhood asking about neighbor’s positions on the new River Club development. Concerns were brought to our attention by three neighbors who have been strong supporters of Preserve Plantation whose homes were either bypassed, or who themselves were bypassed on the street by those doing the survey.

Please know that this survey is skewed in favor of the applicant—nobody from our group was asked to participate in the canvassing. Please know that we are confident that at the very least we are 125-150 people strong. This last week has been our strongest week of fundraising since we got started and the fundraising continues at a fast clip. We have many battles left to fight, but in the end, this is a legal fight that will be litigated based on the facts at law.

Progress continues to be made even last night as we lost a 4-0 vote at the Planning and Zoning Commission hearing, one commissioner was either absent or abstained. We have created a legal predicate and our legal position was strengthened last evening as we got more information into the public record that will be beneficial to our position as we move forward. Most importantly was what was not put into the record by the applicant.

Thanks to everyone.

Keep the faith.

This is early on in the process and we need your support and help moving forward.
